Get Out (2017) – usa

Get Out – ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A young man goes to meet his girlfriend’s family for the first time and is worried his race may be an issue. Turns out he has more to worry about than impressing his girlfriend’s parents.

Enjoyed this one. Wasn’t too sure if it would be as action packed as the trailer made it out to look to be but it was.

Fritt Vilt – ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A bunch of friends go for a skiing holiday and due to an accident end up in what they think is an abandoned hotel in the middle of nowhere. Turns out the owner is there and hates guests.

Awesome movie! I think I’ve watched this one at least 12 times. It has a slasher movie feel like the Halloween movies. English title is Cold Prey.

Death Note (2006) – japan

Death Note – ✩✩✩

Light, a high school student, found a notebook call Death Note. This notebook allows the user to write people’s names in it and they will die of a heart attack just over 6 minutes after it is written. Light takes it upon himself to take out criminals and low life’s with the book until things get out of hand.

Some what liked the anime but loved the movie. Very well done. Hear they are doing an American version of this with Willem Dafoe as the voice of the death god which I hope will be as good if not better. Only time will tell though and remakes are always scary.

The Wailing – ✩✩

After a stranger comes through a village horrible things start to happen. A policeman must save the village as well as his own daughter.

Still scratching my head about this one. Got lost while watching it and never found my way back to the story. Maybe it could be due to Korean not being my first language and not knowing as much about Korean culture as I probably should but I think most of it was not me alone. I’ll give it 2 stars as it still held me to watch it even though I had no idea what was going on and the parts I did follow I enjoyed.
